Government has removed Value Added Tax (VAT) on Cooking oil after consultations with various stakeholders.
Minister of Finance Sosten Gwengwe made the announcement in the parliament during the presentation of 2022-2023 budget.
According to Gwengwe, government believes this will have a direct impact on cooking oil price and asked cooking oil manufacturers to follow suit.
Government has also removed tax on tapped water and sanitary pads.
