Kazako Threatens To Open Cooking Oil Companies If Prices Don’t Go Down

Minister of Information Gospel Kazako has threatened cooking oil manufactures that government can start its own manufacturing company if prices do not fall.

Kazako made the remarks during government press briefing in Lilongwe.

According to Kazako it is unfortunate that prices of cooking oil are still increasing despite government working on their grievances of tax.

Last month, Minister of Finance Sosten Gwengwe announced the removal of Value Added Tax (VAT) on cooking oil and other products.

Malawians expected the prices of oil to drop unfortunately, prices are still going up.
