The Chief Resident Magistrate’s Court in Lilongwe has adjourned to May 3 and 4 the K293 million fraud case involving former Deputy Ambassador to Ethiopia, Doreen Kapanga, and former Secretary for Administration and Finance Fletcher Chowe.
Director of Public Prosecutions, Steven Kayuni has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Kayuni, the case has been adjourned because State lawyers in the case are attending to the Bankgate trial in the High Court in Blantyre.
He said the State was ready to parade the last two witnesses to finish its testimony.
