One Malawian National Dies in KZN Floods

One Malawian national has been confirmed died following floods that have hit that KwaZulu Natal (KZN) Province in South Africa.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs says they have received reports from the Office of the South African High Commission to Malawi.

Spokesperson in the ministry, John Kabaghe says the deceased who was a resident at KZN died after a house collapsed on him.

Kabaghe has since called for a collaborative effort by Malawians living in South Africa to play a role in assisting those that might have been affected but are yet to be known.

KwaZulu-Natal has experienced extreme rainfall since Monday this week, with reports that at least 306 people have died due to floods.
