A Malawian woman has been arrested after she was caught trying to smuggle sim cards into Zomba Maximum Prison.
The woman who went to visit a relative who is serving his jail sentence, hid the sim cards inside a U-fresh soap bar.
When the prison officers checked the items the lady brought, the realised that the soap was cut on the middle upon serious examination they found the sim cards.
She was immediately taken into custody as she will be taken to court to answer charges levelled against him very soon.
This comes just weeks after a prison officer was interdicted for allegedly trying to smuggle phones into the prison.
The prison officer, gave an inmate two [phones which he inserted into his anus but failed to desecret them, when he went inside.
