Social Welfare Office Urges Men To Report GBV cases

15 men this year have approached Neno Social Welfare Office with Gender Based Violence (GBV) cases.

The office said every man is welcome to report their secrecy over abuse.

Paul Sosono, Officer responsible, said men should be open when they are being abused.

Neno district is not doing well in curbing the vices due to some cultural factors.

250 cases were reported last year against 140 this year, Sosono attributes the decline to massive awareness on the ills of the vice.

Neno district is today commemorating the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence.
