Police implicates DPP Steven Kayuni in Chizuma’s arrest

The Malawi Police Service (MPS) has accused Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Steven Kayuni of being behind the arrest of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General Martha Chizuma.

In a statement released few minutes ago confirming the bail granted to Chizuma, the Malawi Police Service say the arrest of ACB boss follows a complaint lodged by Kayuni relating to a leaked audio clip.

National Police spokesperson, Peter Kalaya says Director of Public Prosecutions, Steven Kayuni lodged a complaint that he was injured by Chizuma’s leaked audio in January this year.
