UDF calls for Chizuma’s reinstatement

The opposition United Democratic Front (UDF) has asked President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to immediately reinstate Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General, Martha Chizuma.

UDF’s call follow the suspension of Chizuma as announced by Secretary of the Office of the President and Cabinet (SPC) Colleen Zamba two days ago.

In a statement made available to faceofmalawi UDF Acting Publicity Secretary Yusuf Mwawa said the moves made are a cobweb of political dealings made to suffocate the fight against corruption, contrary to the preachings of president Lazarus Chakwera.

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) legislators others from the governing Malawi Congress Party and Independents are also running a campaign against Chizuma’s removal from the ACB helm.
