Former Police Officer George Pindani Faces Re-Arrest for Ignoring Court Proceedings

The Lilongwe Magistrate Court has issued an order for the re-arrest of former Officer-in-Charge for Mchinji police border post, George Pindani, due to his defiance of a court order.

Pindani was initially arrested in March of this year on allegations of defiling a 13-year-old girl on multiple occasions.

He was later released on court bail. However, despite being notified, Pindani has failed to appear before the court on several occasions.

As a result, Magistrate Chakaka Nyirenda has issued a warrant for his arrest.

Deputy National Police spokesperson, Harry Namwaza, has confirmed receiving the court order and stated that the police have launched a manhunt to re-arrest Pindani.
