Police in Kanengo, Lilongwe are keeping in custody Emmanuel Banda 20, for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl.
Kanengo Police Deputy Public Relations Officer Sargent Grace Kayisi says on June 3, a sister to the victim left for her home village leaving the minor alone, While alone, the girl called Banda to her house where they had sex and they repeated on June 8.
“When her sister returned, some neighbors told her about the incident and in return, she reported the matter to Kanengo Police Station”, she said.
The suspect is expected to dragged to court to answer defilement charges
Emmanuel Banda hails from Mpando Village ,Traditional Authority Kalumo in Ntchisi District.
