The body of Senior Chief Mpama of Chiradzulu will be laid to rest on Saturday, 2nd September, 2023 in Mpama Village, Mbulumbuzi Headquarters in the district.
Ministry of Local Government, Unity and Culture has announced in a statement made available to faceofmalawi.
The late Senior Chief, real name Daniel George Matewere, succumbed to heart attack on Wednesday, 30th August, 2023 at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe.
He was born on 5th May, 1950. He was installed as Traditional Authority (TA) Mpama on 30th December, 1996 and was elevated to Senior Chief Mpama on 19th December, 2007.
He is survived by a wife, five children and 12 grandchildren.
