DPP leader Mary Navicha to respond to Chakwera’s SONA in Parliament today

Leader of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) in Parliament Mary Navicha is this afternoon scheduled to respond to President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera’s state of the nation address delivered in Parliament last week.

Speaker of Parliament Catherine Gotani Hara announced this during deliberations this morning in the August House.

For two days now DPP MPs have been shunning Parliament deliberations in solidarity with their fellow lawmakers who were sent out of the house on Monday afternoon.

MPs protested the decision to maintain Mulanje Central MP Kondwani Nankhumwa as leader of opposition in Parliament.
