Veteran broadcaster Nyokase Madise has died at the age of 85.
The former Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) radio personality, who until her death was staying in Mzuzu, worked with MBC for 30 years.
Her son Sunduzwayo Madise has confirmed of the development in a statement posted on his official facebook page seen by this publication.
“It is with a heavy heart that that I announce that our matriarch, mama Nyokase Madise (NyaChibambo) has gone home to the Lord this evening,” wrote Madise.
Born on 30 April 1939 at Ekwendeni, Mzimba in the area of Traditional Authority Mtwalo, Nyokase had seven children.
Nyokase will be laid to rest on Thursday at Madise in Mzimba.
