As one way of combating fraudsters, Airtel Malawi has introduced two new features SMS verification and biometric verification and removed the one time password (OTP) from my Airtel mobile app which was targeted by fraudsters
The company managing director Charles kamoto said the introduction of two new features will help the users to receive the notifications to verify ownership before logging into the app.
He further said that the biometric facial or fingerprint recognition has been introduced for customers with compatible smartphones.
However, Kamoto said he is glad that Airtel Malawi Company is the best and first company to implement these innovations, which aim at tackle mobile phones fraud.
