Lilongwe Police Nab Suspect in Egyptian Embassy Copper Theft

In Lilongwe, Deayang police have arrested 41-year-old Lloyd Magalasi for allegedly stealing copper cables from the Egyptian Embassy office in Area 10 of the city.
Kanengo Police spokesperson, Sub Inspector Gresham Ngwira, stated that Magalasi was arrested today and he works at the same office.
Ngwira explained that Magalasi was apprehended following a tip-off from one of the senior officials at the embassy, Ah Armada Muhammad, who reported that Magalasi had stolen the cables and fled to Chatata, where he resides.
Following this information, the police arrested Magalasi, who is originally from Mbwetu village, Lilongwe district, and have recovered the stolen goods within two days.
Magalasi will be taken before court soon.
