Police in Kanengo, Lilongwe, have arrested a 21-year-old man, in connection with the murder of Tamandani Lazaro.

Kanengo Police spokesperson, Sub Inspector Gresham Ngwira, has confirmed the arrest,  and identified the suspect as Norman Maluwa.

According to Ngwira, the deceased (Lazaro) had gone missing before her body was later found dumped in a sack.

Following investigations, police apprehended Maluwa and are continuing inquiries to track down other suspects linked to the case.

Ngwira added that Maluwa remains in custody and will soon appear in court to answer murder charges.

Norman Maluwa hails from Kabanga Village, T/A M’bang’ombe in Lilongwe, while the deceased, Tamandani Lazaro, was from Ng’ona Village, T/A Mduwa in Mchinji.
