
Daud Suleman Arrested for Series of Break-Ins in Lilongwe

Police in Lilongwe have arrested an 18-year-old boy identified as, Daud Suleman, for being found in possession of stolen items valued at approximately K6 million, believed to have been stolen from multiple homes.
According to Hastings Chigalu, spokesperson for Lilongwe Police Station, the suspect who is also known by the aliases Azonke and Two Fresh was apprehended after police received a tip-off on April 28.
“Police received information that Suleman was selling a 58-inch JVC plasma television. Officers followed up and found him in possession of the said TV along with several others,” said Chigalu.
Items recovered include multiple plasma televisions (JVC 55-inch, Sony 50-inch, and Hisense models), two Samsung phones, several laptops, two additional phones, an iPad, and sound bars.
During interrogation, Suleman admitted to breaking into several homes in the Kaliyeka and Area 23 Midland areas to steal the items.
He is currently in police custody and is expected to appear in court soon to answer charges related to burglary and possession of stolen property.
