UTM Denies Online Primary Elections Rumours

Felix Njawala, Publicity Secretary for the opposition United Transformation Movement (UTM), has dismissed rumours suggesting that the party will conduct its primary elections through online platforms such as WhatsApp and Zoom.
Njawala clarified that UTM has not made any announcement indicating a shift to online voting. He emphasized that the party will follow the traditional, in-person method of conducting primaries, as is common with other political parties.
He further stated that preparations for the primaries are well underway and assured supporters that the party is committed to holding free and fair elections. Njawala also called on members and supporters to remain calm and respectful throughout the process.
