R&B singer Cassie Ventura testified on May 14 that Sean “Diddy” Combs raped her after she tried to leave their long-term relationship.
Speaking in federal court during Combs’ sex trafficking trial, she said he broke into her Los Angeles apartment and assaulted her on the floor.
“I feared for my career. I feared for my family. It’s just embarrassing. It’s horrible and disgusting. No one should do that to anyone,” she told the court.
Cassie also claimed Combs forced her into “hundreds” of sexual encounters with male escorts, which he filmed and watched. Prosecutors showed jurors images from these encounters, which Combs allegedly called “freak-offs.”
In one 2013 incident, she said Combs threw her into a bed frame, cutting her eye. She later texted him a photo of her injury with the message: “So you can remember,” to which he replied, “You don’t know when to stop. You pushed it too far. And continued to push. Sad.”
Combs has denied all allegations; his attorneys say all acts were consensual. He remains jailed and faces up to 15 years if convicted.
