
Speeding Hilux Driver kills 3 People in Zambia

Three people have died after being hit by a vehicle on the Great East Road in Katete district, Eastern province of Zambia.
Eastern Province Police Commanding Officer, Robertson Mweemba has confirmed the accident which happened today around 01 hours.
Mr Mweemba says the accident happened when the driver of a Toyota Hilux lost control due to excessive speed and hit 2 cyclists, one of which had a passenger.
Mr Mweemba says one of the cyclists died on the spot while the other 2, the cyclist and his passenger died at Saint Francis Mission hospital.
He has added that the driver of the vehicle, Alex Imenda aged 24, of Sinda district, sustained general body pain.
