Onesimus Wins “Best Music Video” Award at Young Achievers Africa Awards in Rwanda

Malawian sesnstaional artist Onesimus has scooped the Best Music Video of the Year award at this year’s Young Achievers Africa Awards, held in Rwanda.

The award-winning video is the ‘Controller Remix’, a collaboration with Nigerian star Joeboy. Onesimus expressed his excitement and gratitude, thanking his fans known as Butterbabies for voting and making the win possible.

Speaking in an interview, Onesimus said he is thrilled by the recognition and appreciates the support he continues to receive both at home and abroad.

This marks his 10th international award, adding to around six local awards he has earned over the years.

Sharing the news on his Facebook page, Onesimus wrote:

“WE WON AN AWARD IN RWANDA , ‘Best Music Video’ at Young Achievers Africa Awards 🇷🇼, first of 2025. Thank you Butterlions, Thank you Malawi.”
