67-Year-Old Man Dies in Chikwawa Road Accident

A 67-year-old man, MacFrancis Steven M’bumpha, has died in a road accident in Chikwawa.
Chikwawa Police Spokesperson, Dickson Matemba, said the incident occurred on April 22, 2026, at Konzele along the Ngabu–Sorgin M1 Road. A Ford Ranger collided with a motorcycle that the deceased was riding as he was entering the road at a three-way intersection.
Following the accident, M’bumpha sustained severe head injuries and died shortly after being taken to Ngabu District Hospital.
Matemba has since appealed to road users to always obey traffic rules to help prevent accidents.
