A newly released autopsy report has revealed that 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez died from multiple penetrating injuries, shedding more light on a case that has drawn widespread attention in the United States.
According to CNN, the findings indicate that the teenager suffered what medical experts described as “sharp force injuries,” believed to be consistent with stabbing. The report also states that her body had been dismembered after death.
Celeste’s remains were discovered in September 2025 inside the front trunk of a Tesla linked to singer d4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke. The vehicle had reportedly been abandoned in the Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles before being towed to an impound lot, where authorities were alerted after a foul smell was noticed.
The case had remained largely undisclosed for months as investigators conducted proceedings before a grand jury and sealed key findings.
The autopsy report further revealed that parts of the victim’s body had been removed, and investigators recovered plastic fragments embedded in the remains. Due to the advanced decomposition, some details surrounding the exact cause and timing of death remain unclear.
The singer was arrested last week and has since pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including first-degree murder, sexual abuse of a minor, and mutilation of human remains.
Prosecutors allege that David Anthony Burke had a relationship with the victim and killed her to prevent exposure. However, his legal team has denied the allegations, stating that he is not responsible for her death and will vigorously defend his innocence.
The release of the autopsy report has intensified public interest in the case, as the victim’s family continues to call for privacy while mourning their loss.
