Man Arrested for defiling biological daughter & impregnating her in Chikwawa

Police in Chikwawa have arrested 45-year-old Tsamba Dinga on allegations that he defiled his 15-year-old daughter, resulting in a pregnancy.
Chikwawa Police public relations officer Dickson Matemba said the suspect is from Chadula Village in Traditional Authority Mulilima in the district. Police investigations indicate that the incidents occurred between July 2025 and May 2026.
The girl’s mother said she noticed changes in her daughter and suspected she was pregnant. To confirm her suspicions, she took the girl to elderly women in the community for questioning. During the discussion, the victim disclosed that her father was responsible for the pregnancy.
After the matter was reported to Chikwawa Police Station, the girl was referred to Chikwawa District Hospital. That was when it was confirmed that she was two months pregnant, leading to the father’s arrest.
“Dinga will soon appear in court to answer charges of incest and defilement, contrary to Sections 157 and 138 of the Penal Code,” said Matemba.
