The High Court in Blantyre has adjourned the murder trial of Dr. Victoria Bobe to Thursday afternoon to allow for the transcription of a video that forms part of the State’s evidence.

The adjournment followed the completion of testimony by State witness Christopher Pangeti, a criminal investigator involved in the case.

While giving evidence, Pangeti told the court that suspects arrested in connection with the murder admitted their involvement during investigations and allegedly outlined the roles played by the accused persons.

The court ruled that a qualified transcriber is needed to accurately document the contents of the video evidence before proceedings can continue.

Dr. Victoria Bobe was shot dead at her residence in Chigumula, Blantyre, in 2025. The case has since remained before the High Court as the State continues presenting its evidence against the accused.
