DPP Accuses MCP for Being Behind Chimulirenji’s Resignation Letter from DPP Duties

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has refuted claims that Vice President Everton Chimulirenji has ceased from being an official DPP member and that he is not obliged to the duties of the party.

Last night other social media platforms were awash with a press statement which was said to be from DPP communicating that Chimulirenji is no longer an official member of the party

“Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) would like to inform genera public that Vice president Everton Chimulirenji is no longer official member of DPP” read part of the statement.

The blue camp refuted the claims in a press statement made available to Face of Malawi reporter.

In the statement signed by the party’s Secretary General Grezelder Jeffery, accused Malawi Congress Party (MCP) of being behind what they call a propaganda.

“It has come to the attention of the secretariat that one overzealous youth of the Malawi Congress Party is behind the letter that is in circulation, purporting that my office issued a press release that the state vice president Everton Chimulirenji has expelled as an official member of the DPP” said Jeffrey.

According to Jeffrey, the letter has been written by a senior member of MCP among the youth ranks.

Attacking MCP in the press statement Jeff wa Jeff said they know how MCP is broke and how they are using Honorable Atupele Muluzi so that they can be getting funding from Former President Dr. Bakili Muluzi.

In the press statement Jeffrey said DPP will not sit down and watch threatening that they will hit at MCP where it pains the most.

Jeffrey has however given the MCP leadership 48 hours to apologize to Chimulirenji and the entire DPP family threatening that failing which a more damaging reaction will be on the resort.
