Lockdown: Blantyre District Social Welfare Gives Street Children Two Days to Withdraw From Streets

Blantyre District Social Welfare office has given two days to all street kids to voluntary withdraw from the streets.
Blantyre District Social Welfare Officer Stephano Joseph confirmed the development.
According to Joseph, the move is a response to the prevention measures on Covid-19 pandemic.
He said the kids have to move out between Friday and Saturday,saying thereafter the office will use force.
On Tuesday, Minister of Health Jappie Mhango announced that the country will go into a 21 day lockdown as a response to fight Covid-19.
Mhango added that the decision has been made to contain the spread of the deadly Coronavirus.
According to Mhango, the lockdown will take effect on Saturday, April 18 midnight and will end on May 9 Midnight with possible chances of extending the lockdown.
