DPP District Governor for Thyolo Central dies, burial today

Leader of opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa who is also Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for the South is today leading hundreds of DPP supporters in paying last respect to the party’s District Governor for Thyolo Central Owen Chokerani.

According to information at hand, Chokerani collapsed on Monday and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

Nankhumwa at the funeral is franked by DPP Director of Elections and MP for Thyolo Central Honourable Dr. Ben Malunga Phiri and Regional Governor Honourable Charles Mchacha, MP.

Meanwhile some of the COVID-19 measures like social distance and the recommended number of less than hundred at a funeral have been shunned.
