Malawi Blood Transfusion Service, Min of Health launches blood donation awareness week

Malawi Blood Transfusion Service in conjunction with health ministry today launch blood donation awareness week & national blood policy today.
Organized under the theme ‘Safe Blood for All in need’, the week aims at raising awareness on voluntary blood donation in communities and seeks to collect not less than 10,000 units of blood for use in various hospitals across the country.
The national blood policy aims at guiding blood transfusion and blood donation practices in the country.
