Man Murders Relative Suspected Of Having An affair With His Wife,Commits Suicide

India,Delhi – In another incident of crime in the city, a man committed suicide after killing his relative on the suspicion that he had a relationship with his wife. The deceased men have been identified as Shahal and Imran. Both were residents of the walled city in the national capital.

According to Delhi Police, Shahal had a strained relationship with his wife. She, with her two children, had been residing with her parents since last one month.

Yesterday, Shahal had gone to meet her and the kids at his in-law’s house at Matiyala Mahal. The family said that he was behaving normally and had even got gifts for his children.

While returning back to his home, a relative, identified as Imran, also accompanied him. “They both consumed alcohol as it was evident with the empty bottles present at the crime scene,” said a senior official of the Delhi Police.

Hearing loud noise and quarrel, Shahal’s mother went to the second floor and found Imran unconscious and lying on the floor.

Shahal reportedly told his mother that he had strangulated Imran. “He was suspicious that Imran had an affair and was in frequent touch with his wife,” he added.

On seeing Imran’s body, Sahal’s mother cried for help. He then hit her mother and brother Sohail who came for her help. They both sustained injures and ran away to save their lives. Even after attacking his mother and brother Shahal was still enraged.

Shahal’s mother and brother Sohail rushed outside and asked neighbours to intervene. However, no one was willing to help because they were aware of accused Shahal’s violent temper.

When the family members went back upstairs, Shahal was found dead hanging in the room with a curtain around his neck. It was Shahal’s sister who came to the police station and informed the police about the death of her brother and Imran.

Delhi Police has ordered inquest proceedings and has filed a case of murder.
