Chinese Ambassador to Malawi, Liu Hongyang, has said his country is ready to help Malawi at all levels, including girls education and the fight against Covid-19 pandemic.
He said this when his government donated 2000 Covid-19 test kits and various hospital equipment to Malawi.
According to the Ambassador, as the second wave of Coronavirus is hitting other parts of the world, it is the Chinese government’s wish that the virus should not hit Malawi again.
On her part, Minister of Health Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda said the donation will help Malawi to continue testing more people, especially this time when government has embarked on Covid-19 testing in all the districts.
