Investigations by has shown that the Public Discussion which Zodiak Broadcasting Station conducted with President Joyce Banda on December 31st at the Chikoko Bay State Residence in Mangochi was not live.
The investigations shows that Zodiac had already recorded the programme before the day so as to give the president enough time to consult and prepare for the answers so as to avoid being embarrassed.
The programme which featured only five callers and 25 SMS. Out of those five callers, two were engineers working with the radio station who cheated on their names so as to give the feeling that Malawians from all walks of life participated in the debate.
The development came barely a week after the station’s managing director Gospel Kazako and Chief Editor Pilirani Phiri pocketed K10million each from the president Joyce Banda–Stay Tuned As Events Unfold
