Partners In Health Donates Drugs To QECH In Blantyre

Partners in Health (PIH) today  has donated intravenous fluid(IV) drug worth K30 million to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in Blantyre.

QECH Principal Pharmacist, Christina Mwinjiwa has confirmed the development.

Mwinjiwa says on average, they use 400 of IV drugs per day hence, the donation will ease the drug shortage for the meantime.

They want  to improve hydration and increase electrolytes and blood sugar levels in patients.

The fluid comprises 3, 598 bags of Ringer Lactate and 7, 952 bags of Sodium Chloride.
