Pastor Salanje salutes Onesimus over Namadingo

As Malawians continues to attack well-known musician Patience Namadingo for his childish bahaviour, South African based controversial Malawian Pastor, Hastings Salanje has voted in favour of gospel singer Onesimus as the most talented.

Pastor Salanje’s vote comes barely a week after one of the social media platform released results of the competition between on Onesimus and Namadingo.

One of the online platforms asked Malawians to choose whose most talented between ‘Panado’ hit-maker and ‘Maplani’ hit maker.

After voting, Onesimus emerged victorious after amassing 1342 votes against 654 votes obtained by Namadingo.

Writing on his official facebook page, Pastor Salanje who is eying for Malawi’s Presidency in 2030, hailed Prophet Shepherd Bushiri of Enlighten Christian Gathering (ECG) Church for spotting a talent in Onesimus.

“I would like to take time and appreciate this singer ONESIMUS , normally i don’t do this but sometimes we need to appreciate our own musicians.

“I have been listening to his music and i have discovered that he is not just a singer but a talented singer,” wrote Salanje.

“His music is closing the gap of old and new music, meaning old and youth can both enjoy his music.

“Is also closing the gap for local and international music, people in Malawi and aswel as other countries can enjoy his music.

“The way is putting the massages in the music you can not get tired of listening to his music.

“Songs like CALCULATOR, PANADO and ofcourse SOLOMON are the best songs.

“I appreciate Mojor 1 for helping him to bring out such talent and i ask him and other people to continue supporting him and other musicians.”

Meanwhile Veteran Musician Lucius Banda who is also Presidential Advisor on youth and Art has urged Malawians to desist from act of comparing artists, saying the act is killing the music industry in the country.
