Bon Kalindo Disowns Winiko

United Transformation Movement (UTM) NEC Member who is also the Party’s Director of Youth (DoY) Bon Kalindo has stressed that Winiko must not be aligned with Kalindo.

The past week Kalindo was seen in a video clip circulating on social media in which he was attacking the Tonse Alliance leadership for failing to fulfill its campaign promises through a stage play.

In the play, Winiko outlined things that the Tonse Alliance administration has failed to fulfill and the continued rise of prices of cost of living.

The play attracted mixed reactions especially from the UTM youth who insinuated that Kalindo was attacking the party’s president who is also the country’s vice president Saulos Chilima.

Kalindo was later given five days to apologize to Chilima and the party leadership or resign. However, there were divisions among them whom some said Kalindo and Winiko are too different characters.

Speaking on the matter, Kalindo said Winiko whose views he portrayed in a play should not be misinterpreted as his own.

Kalindo has therefore trashed resignation calls by purportedly UTM youth.
