APM dodges ACB interrogation, Again

In a twist of events, the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has made a u-turn on its proposition to interrogate former president professor Arthur Peter Mutharika on alleged abuse of Tax Payer Identification Number (TPIN).

ACB director Martha Chizuma has confirmed the development saying the former president is reportedly not feeling well today.

According to Chizuma, Mutharika is yet to be seen by a doctor.

“At the moment we are waiting for outcome with doctor assessment to determine how we move forward,” said Chizuma.

The inquest failed on Tuesday, July 27 after Mutharika raised some reservations over the manner in which the bureau wanted to manage the inquiry.

Mutharika only changed his mind later to pave way for the interrogation upon discussions with the bureau.
