Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s daughter ‘Lilibet Diana’ added to royal line of succession

Lilibet Diana, the second child of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, is now seventh in line for the British crown.

The newest royal, born June 6, was added to the royal line of succession Monday (July 26), although she’s unlikely to ever see the throne.

Lilibet, named after Queen Elizabeth’s childhood nickname, is behind her brother, Archie, cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, the children of Prince William and Kate Middleton, Prince Charles and Prince William.

Because of protocol, any children of George, Charlotte or Louis would jump Lilibet in line.

Prince Andrew has now been moved down to No. 9.

Harry and Meghan’s, and presumably their children’s, ties to the royal family have been murky at best since the royal lovebirds flew the coop and moved to California last year, citing the need for a mental health break.

The ginger prince recently announced that he is writing “an intimate and heartfelt” memoir that will offer “the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him.”
