The Supreme Court of Appeal has dismissed an appeal made by State lawyers in a case in which four suspects accused of murdering late Kottana Chidyaonga were acquitted by the High Court in Lilongwe.

State lawyer Steven Kayuni has confirmed the development, adding that this closes the matter.

The four were found innocent by the court, after being arrested following an autopsy report by pathologist Charles Dzamalala, which concluded that late Chidyaonga had died due to termik.
