Nsanje district council has interdicted Nsanje District Health Office Principal Human Resource Officer, Lufai Nachamba, for allegedly recruiting people without following laid down procedures.
District Council Spokesperson, Martin Chiwanda has confirmed the development saying Nachamba is expected to appear before a Disciplinary and Appointment Committee.
Meanwhile, Chiwanda said apart from three health surveillance assistants the officer in question allegedly put on the council’s pay roll in June this year, four more people have also been discovered to have been hired by the officer in question.
According to Chiwanda, the four are; Yesaya Mchenga Grade- HM- 322587, Alufeyo David Grade- HP- 322585, Makwete Elisha Grade-HO- 322588 and Precious Suzumire Grade- R- 322610.
They were allegedly recruited as Ground Labour, Head Hospital Attendant, HSA and Hospital Attendant.
