Chibavi Community Day Secondary School student is in police custody in Mzuzu for allegedly killing Livingstonia University student identified as Cyrus Kadzanja.
Mzuzu Police Station Public Relations Officer, Paul Tembo has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Tembo, the incident happened at a drinking joint at Mchengautuba.
Tembo said the two agreed to disagree over a bottle of beer resulting into fierce fight.
According to Tembo, the deceased died while receiving treatment at the hospital in Mzuzu.
The suspect will appear in court soon to answer murder charges.
