Fire has burnt and damaged mechanical items in a warehouse belonging to businessman Joseph Soko in kawale, Lilongwe
The incident occurred on Thursday September 16, 2021 around 9 oclock at Biwi near Kalikuti Hotel.
Bessy Kaledzera, 38 who operates the business on behalf of her uncle who is residing in UK, said she just received a call that the warehouse had caught fire.
She rushed to the scene and found well wishers trying to put out the fire which had already burnt some items to ashes.
Currently the amount of the damaged property is not known.
Police and fire brigade rushed to the scene and the fire brigade extinguished the inferno.
Investigations are underway to establish the cause of the fire.
