Chizuma meets CDEDI Director Sylvester Namiwa

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General Martha Chizuma this morning held a closed door meeting with Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI) Executive Director Sylvester Namiwa.

According to information at hand, the meeting centered on a letter which questioned the Bureau’s decision to close the case against the State House over alleged inflated bills at Crossroads Hotel.

Last month, ACB cleared State House of any wrongdoing in its transactions with Crossroads Hotel where it was alleged that government paid inflated bills for some unknown international visitors for State House.

But dissatisfied with the decision CDEDI wrote the graft busting body raising questions on their decision.

CDEDI wondered why the ACB never took interest to investigate the interest of a private citizen to fund State House guests.

CDEDI further submitted evidence indicating that prices were allegedly inflated.
