Joe Biden invites Chakwera to Democracy Summit in USA

US President Joe Biden has invited President Lazarus Chakwera to a democracy summit set to take place in the United States from December 9 to 10, 2021.
US charge de affairs to Malawi, Jeremey Neitzke, extended Biden’s invitation to Chakwera at Kamuzu Palace on Friday last week.
Neitzke said 17 countries are expected at the summit where they will make commitments to the fight against corruption.
The summit will be held virtually.
