Ex-APAM President Ian Desmond Simbota slaps Chakwera over albino attacks

Former President of the Association of Persons with Albinism in Malawi (APAM) Ian Desmond Simbota has criticized President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera over his silence on an inquiry report on attacks on people living with albinism in the country.

Simbota said this when reaction to reports that unknown people have exhumed the body of an alibino man in Lilongwe.

According to media reports, after exhuming the dead body, the unknown thugs chopped off the limbs, leaving behind the upper body part.

Writing on his official facbook page Simbota blasted the Tonse Alliance government of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera for failing to protect albinos in the country.

“We are not safe tilindi Moyo & we can’t even rest in peace when we die. Dziko lanji ilili? What happened to ending the Killings in a Month?

“What happened to the Enquiry report? Malawians paid that commission of inquiry through their taxes & why has the President chosen to denying us from accessing the results of the report?,” queried Simbota.

He added: “Very Sad Country right from Leadership very poor & disappointing.”

Effort to talk to Minister of Information Gospel Kazako proved futile.
