SENIOR CHIEF MPONDAS’ BURIAL TOMORROW

Senior Chief Mponda of Mangochi who was announced dead yesterday evening at his home will be laid to rest tomorrow, Thursday at his Khaya headquarters in Mangochi.
Local Government Ministry confirmed the development adding that the chief died from high blood pressure.
Chief Mponda was born on January 1, 1924 and installed as Traditional Authority on 24 March 1979 and later on promoted as Senior Chief Mponda in 2013.
The deceased has left behind a wife, three children and 42 grandchildren.
