MP Salim Bagus elected as Parliamentary committee chair of defence

Member of Parliament for Chikwawa Central Salim Bagus has been elected as chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Defence and Security.
Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament Aisha Mambo Adams announced this today during deliberations in the August House.
According to Adams, Bagus will be deputized by Simon Salambula of Ntcheu West Constituency.
The new leadership is expected to serve the committee for the next 12 months.
