Father Arrested for Allegedly Beating Daughter in Mchinji

A 37-year-old man, Emmanuel Solobala, has been arrested in Mchinji for allegedly beating his 12-year-old daughter, Deborah, in an attempt to discipline her.
Mchinji police spokesperson Limbani Mpinganjira stated that the man physically assaulted his daughter. He tied her both legs and hands and began to beat her out of anger to instill discipline in her.
A video showing the man committing these acts went viral, prompting the police to search for him. According to Mpinganjira, he was located and arrested in the Waliranji area.
Currently, the police are holding the man in custody, and the girl has been taken to the hospital for treatment.
He will appear before court soon.
