Tear Gas Deployed as UTM, Aforf & UDF Supporters Await Patricia Kaliati at Police Headquarters

Reports reaching this publication indicate that the police at Area 30 in Lilongwe have dispersed supporters of the United Transformation Movement (UTM), Alliance for Democracy (Aford), and United Democratic Front (UDF).
The supporters had gathered at the police headquarters waiting for the UTM Secretary General, Patricia Kaliati, who was arrested yesterday.
Kaliati spent the night at Lingadzi Police Station and is expected to appear in court soon.
