Primary School Teacher Found Dead in Suspected Suicide in Ntchisi

A 38-year-old primary school teacher, Gift Matenge, has been found dead in Chaseta Village, Traditional Authority (TA) Mulenga, Ntchisi, in what is suspected to be a suicide.
Ntchisi Police spokesperson Salomy Zgambo confirmed the incident, stating that Matenge, who taught at Chimwangalu Primary School in Dedza, had been missing since yesterday before his body was discovered today in a nearby graveyard.
According to police, medical examinations indicate that Matenge died after consuming poisonous substances.
Authorities are continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death.
