Police in Thyolo are keeping in custody a 49 year old man, Faison Seyani for allegedly murdering his ex-girlfriend, Violet Samson.
Thyolo Police Officer in-charge Senior Assistant Commissioner Josiah Kanthiti confirmed of the development.
According to the police, Seyani murdered his girlfriend after being told that the relationship is over.
“After hearing from the deceased about the termination of the relationship, the accused demanded that the suspect should give him back the iron sheets that were used to build the house…..the deceased managed to buy the iron sheets with the salaries she was receiving from Nchima tea estate where the deceased was working” said Kanthiti.
Seyani was married in the same district and was in secret affair with the deceased.
Postmortem results showed that the deceased died due to loss of blood.
The deceased hails from Nkolokosa II Traditional Authority Ntchiramwela in Thyolo.
